Allis Chalmers Models

In 1860 Edward P Allis of Milwaukee, WI purchased a bankrupt firm at a sheriff’s auction from James Decker and Charles Seville, local millwrights.
The Edward P. Allis Company began producing steam engines and by the 1900’s it had grown to become one of America’s largest steam engine builders.
The Allis-Chalmers Company was created in May 1901 when the following three companies decided to merge, Edward P. Allis, Fraser & Chalmers, and Gates.
